Fire Prevention Week

In observance of National Fire Prevention Week, the Winside Kindergarten and First Grade classes walked down to the Winside Fire Station.  Volunteer Fire Fighters and EMT workers Chris Olander, Sandy Nelson, and Fire Chief Don Skokan conducted a tour of the Fire Station.  The boys and girls also viewed a video explaining ways to exit a building during a fire.  Each student received a plastic fire fighter hat and a packet of fire prevention materials.  We salute the Winside Volunteer EMT's and Firefighters not only during Fire Prevention Week but throughout the year!  Thanks for a job well done!
