Successful Grand Opening of the First Grade Mini-Mart

The past month of school, the First Graders have had on the job training with money.  They earn paper coins for good behavior, excellent work, and outstanding study habits.  In turn, they can be fined for lack of the listed desired behaviors.

They store their earnings in a bank as shown above.  These pint-sized bankers carefully kept track of their balance on hand!

The Mini-Mart is open and ready for business!

Bouncy balls and squishy balls are for sale today!

Maracas and whistles

Tops and mini-frisbees

Sierra is sorting her money and then counting it.

Placing the total amount on a post-it.

Ms. Loetscher, would you like a loan?

This is fun!

I know what I am going to buy!

25, 50, 60, 70, 75...   Wow!

Hmm...I wonder what he will buy!

More accountants busy at work!

Just how soon is the store opening?  We are ready to go!

This counting money is hard work but well worth it!

Jake displays the Grand Opening Give Aways!

What a deal!

Miss Bormann, our Wayne State College Field Experience student, was on hand to help out at the Mart.

Do I have enough money?  I think so!

Love these Grand Opening Give Aways!

Another satisfied customer!

Some last minute shoppers!

I'll take two of these!

Five minutes until closing!

Whew!  I am almost done!

These conservative shoppers decided to save some money for next week!  See you then!
