Fantastic First Graders End the Year by Taking Washington D.C. by Storm!

The Winside First Graders treated the Elementary and their families to an educational, fun-filled tour of Washington D.C.  They stopped at the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, White House, and the Capitol.  They did an outstanding job!  Special thanks go out to the following people:

Mrs. Kay Wagoner and Mr. Bryan Backstrom for setting up the chairs and working graciously around the First Grade schedule.

Mrs. Barb Kollath, our elementary computer specialist, who put hours into creating the awesome slideshow.

Miss Laura Heise, our outstanding student teacher, who helped put the tour together.

Winside Superintendent/Elementary Principal Mr. Jeff Messersmith who continues to encourage and support learning experiences such as the D.C. tour.

High school students Tina Nelson, Tarrin Quinn, and Elysia Wagoner for all their much appreciated help serving refreshments and cleaning up afterward.

Our parents who continue to support education and the best for their children.

Last but certainly not least the energetic and enthusiastic First Graders who have made the year a huge success!
