Special Thanks for Special People

With the help of our talented Winside Elementary computer specialist Mrs. Kollath, the first graders recorded their dreams.  The writings and illustrations were completed during Writers' workshop time.

Thank you, Mrs. Kollath!  Special thanks to all parents/grandparents for sharing their bundles of joy with Miss Heise and me!  Every day is truly an exciting adventure packed with joy and lots of learning!  Extra special thanks to Mr. Messersmith who continues to support our attendance at continuing education workshops and conferences!

I remember reading this statement years ago:  "If you want to light a flame in a student, there must be a spark left in the teacher."  For me, attendance at the workshops/conferences, outstanding parents, supportive administrators, wonderful colleagues, delightful first graders, and an excellent student teacher keep my spark burning vibrantly.
