If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give...

Today the First Graders wrote about giving special gifts.  You can find their thoughts below in this blog and also duplicated under the Writing Projects tab.

If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give…
If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give my brother a Ninja.  (Anthony)

If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give my Mom a dog and a cat because I love her.  (Art)

If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give a Barbie to Abby because I do not get to see her.  (Carsan)

If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give my family the BEST DAY ever.  I would go to sleep when my mom tells me to go to sleep.  I care about them.  I love them with all my heart.  I have to listen to them—that would make them happy.  (Ashelyn)

If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give my Mom and Dad the best day of their life.  I would give Mom a bunch of roses.  I would give Dad a BB gun.  I would give them those presents because they are special.  (Aubrie)

If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give love to Mom and Dad because they love me and I love them.  (Jamie)

If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give my Grandmas and Grandpas a picture of me.  I would give them that because they like me.  (Gabe)

If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give my Mom and Dad a clay snowman because they will love it.  (McKenna)

If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give my Mom and Dad love because they give me toys.  GO MOM AND DAD!  (Dakota)

If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give Alex money because he does good tricks.  (Tyler)

If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give Mom a robe because she wants one.  (Maddox)

If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000  Power Rangers to Dominic because he likes them.  (Jacob)

If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give my Aunt Missy a kiss, a gun to my Dad and a ring for Mom.  (Trey)

If I could give anyone a special gift, I would give Mom more money so Mom can buy a new house. (Allan)

If I could give someone a special gift, I would give Ms. Loetscher a year of good listeners.  No tattle tongues but lots of time for the fun stuff because I think Ms. Loetscher would love it so much. (Kelcie)

If I could give someone a special gift, I would give Grandma a motorcycle.  (Jacoby)

Thanksgiving Feast

Kindergarten Pilgrims and First Grade Native Americans enjoyed not one day of feasting but THREE days due to the awesome amount of food sent by our wonderful parents!  Three days of feasting and celebrating was exactly what the first Thanksgiving was like.  Ninety Native Americans and sixty Pilgrims attended.  All the food was cooked by four Pilgrim women who had survived that first year at Plymouth.

The boys and girls also wore their costumes while eating the traditional Winside Lunchroom Thanksgiving meal.  Yummy!  Yummy!

I know you will enjoy the pictures!
